Motee Privacy and Permission Information

Motee requests a permission only when a related feature needs it. You may refuse or later change it in iOS Settings > Motee. Refusal affects only features that depend on that permission.

Bluetooth

Used to discover, connect to, and manage compatible E-Ink accessories; transfer images or settings; read the model, serial number, and firmware information; update firmware; and reconnect when needed. The app may process a device name, identifier, model, manufacturer, serial number, firmware version, connection status, and communication result. Motee does not use Bluetooth to infer or track your location.

NFC

Used to identify a compatible NFC accessory that you intentionally hold near the iPhone, read display capabilities, and transfer an image or setting. An NFC session starts only after you enter the relevant feature.

Camera and Photos

Camera is used to capture an image you choose to import or scan a QR code when provided. Photo read access is used to select a profile image, creation, or AI reference and manage local galleries. Photo add access saves an image you choose to the system library. Motee does not start the camera in the background or browse and upload your entire photo library without your action.

Notifications

Used for support progress, account security, accessory status, and important service messages you allow. After permission, the app may register an APNs token, notification status, IDFV, device model, iOS version, and app version for delivery and troubleshooting, not advertising tracking.

Local network and Internet

Local Network is used only if an enabled feature must reach a compatible accessory on the same network. Internet access supports sign-in, online content, AI, cloud galleries, firmware, feedback, policy pages, and messaging.

Permissions not requested

The current iOS version does not request Contacts, Microphone, precise Location, or cross-app Tracking permission and does not include an SDK for targeted advertising.
