Motee Privacy Policy

Published and effective: August 18, 2026

Motee (iOS bundle ID: vip.moyi.motee) is operated by 邵东市默毅文化传媒有限公司 (the “Operator”). The Operator is responsible for the personal information processed for this app.

This Policy explains how we process information when providing accounts, image creation, AI creation, online content, color E-Ink accessory connections, NFC/Bluetooth image transfer, notifications, and support.

1. Information we collect and why

Account and authentication

When you register, sign in, bind, or manage an account, we may process your user ID, account name, nickname, profile image, language, phone number, email address, verification result, sign-in token, sign-in time, IP address, and necessary security records.

For Sign in with Apple, we receive the Apple user identifier, identity token, authorization code, and the name and email you choose to provide. Apple determines whether we receive your address or an Apple private relay address based on your choice.

We use this information to create and protect your account, authenticate you, manage profile details and benefits, and respond to account-security issues.

Accessories, connections, and diagnostics

When you choose to discover, add, connect, configure, or send an image to a compatible accessory, we may process its name, device or stable identifier, model, manufacturer, serial number, firmware/software/hardware version, display size and color capabilities, connection method and status, packet count, transfer result, failure stage, error or diagnostic code, and the relevant app, iOS, and iPhone environment.

We use this data to identify compatible accessories, establish or restore a connection, match display capabilities, transfer images or settings, update firmware, measure transfer results, and troubleshoot failures. Necessary connection data may be kept on your device for remembering or reconnecting to an accessory. Bluetooth and NFC are not used for location tracking.

Images, creations, and cloud content

When you choose to capture, select, import, edit, save, or transfer an image, the app may process the selected image, crop and layout parameters, local projects, previews, galleries, and related caches.

Ordinary local creation and image processing generally occur on your device. Content is uploaded only when you choose an online feature such as profile-image upload, cloud gallery, AI image-to-image creation, or support feedback. Copies that you save to the system photo library are managed by iOS Photos.

AI creation

When you choose an AI text-to-image, image-to-image, image editing, or prompt-assistance feature, we may process prompts, edit instructions, reference images you select, style and dimension parameters, task status, output, errors, and related points or membership entitlements.

This information is sent to our servers and may be processed by cloud AI providers such as Alibaba Cloud Model Studio/DashScope to perform generation or content-safety checks. Do not submit identity documents, financial accounts, health information, precise addresses, or other unnecessary sensitive information, and do not upload portraits or works you are not authorized to use.

Notifications, logs, and support

If you allow notifications, we may process the APNs token, notification status, identifier for vendor (IDFV), device model, iOS version, app version, and bundle ID to deliver account, support, accessory, and important service messages.

Online services may record an IP address, request time, endpoint, response status, User-Agent, and necessary security logs. If you contact support, we process your message and the contact details, screenshots, device data, or diagnostic information that you choose to provide.

In-app purchases, if offered

If a current version presents an Apple in-app purchase, we may process the product ID, Motee order number, Apple transaction/original transaction ID, signed transaction data, validation result, refund status, and entitlement state to validate and deliver the purchase. Apple processes payment credentials; we do not receive full card details.

2. Permissions

  • Bluetooth: discover, connect to, and manage compatible accessories; transfer images or settings; update firmware and reconnect when needed.
  • NFC: communicate with a compatible accessory that you intentionally hold near the iPhone, read its capabilities, and transfer an image or settings.
  • Camera: capture an image you choose to import, or scan a QR code when that feature is provided.
  • Photo read access: select a profile image, creation, or AI reference image and manage local galleries.
  • Photo add access: save an image you select to the system photo library.
  • Notifications: deliver account, support, accessory, and important service messages you allow.
  • Local network: only for a feature that you choose which needs to reach a compatible accessory on the same network.
  • Network: sign-in, online content, AI, cloud galleries, firmware, feedback, policies, and messaging.

You can manage permissions in iOS Settings > Motee. Refusing a permission affects only features that require it. The current iOS version does not request Contacts, Microphone, precise Location, or cross-app Tracking permission.

3. Service providers and disclosure

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. Depending on the feature you choose, we may provide the minimum necessary data to:

  • Apple for Sign in with Apple, APNs, StoreKit/App Store, and iOS camera, Photos, Bluetooth, and NFC capabilities;
  • Alibaba Cloud services for SMS verification, Model Studio/DashScope AI generation, and content-safety processing when enabled;
  • email, object-storage, and content-delivery providers for email verification or content you choose to upload, such as a profile image, gallery image, reference image, or generated result;
  • Nordic iOS DFU Library to perform a compatible accessory firmware update locally over Bluetooth.

We require processors to use necessary information only for the agreed purpose and to apply appropriate safeguards. Where law requires separate notice, consent, or a cross-border data procedure, we will provide it before that processing.

4. Retention, deletion, and account closure

Local creations, accessory records, caches, and settings remain on your device and can be removed in the app or by uninstalling it. Images saved to the system photo library must be managed in Photos.

Server-side account data, cloud galleries, AI tasks, messages, orders, and security records are retained only as needed to provide the applicable service, resolve disputes, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. When that purpose ends, we delete or de-identify the data unless law requires otherwise.

You can request account closure in My > Account > Delete Account. The account signs out and enters a three-day cooling-off period; signing in during that period cancels the request. After closure, identity details, sign-in tokens, third-party bindings, push tokens, cloud galleries, uploads, and AI creation records are deleted, marked as deleted, or de-identified.

We may retain a deletion request, security/audit record, transaction record, and one-way hash of a phone number, email, or third-party identifier when needed to prevent repeated new-user benefits, prevent fraud, resolve a transaction or service dispute, or comply with law. This retained data is not used to continue ordinary service for the closed account.

5. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you can view or edit account details, delete creations or saved accessories, withdraw a system permission, sign out, request access/correction/copy/deletion of personal information, and close your account.

Use the relevant in-app control or email moyi@mymoyi.cn. We may verify identity to protect the account, but we will not ask you to email a password, verification code, Apple identity token, or full payment credential.

6. Children

Motee is not directed primarily to children. A child must use Motee with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian and should not independently submit account details, photos, contact information, or public content. A guardian may contact us about information processed inappropriately.

7. Security and updates

We use safeguards appropriate to the risk, including access controls, permission management, protected transmission, audit logging, and data minimization. No network or storage method can be absolutely secure. If an incident may affect your rights, we will respond and notify as required by applicable law.

We may update this Policy as features, processing, providers, or law changes. We will provide an appropriate notice for material changes and request renewed consent where required.
